Welcome Message

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya

President, the RCOST

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Royal College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Thailand (RCOST) to the Annual RCOST Meeting 2017. The annual RCOST meeting continues to be a major event in the calendar of Thai and ASEAN orthopaedic surgeons. This year the event will be held at Pattaya city again during 20th to 22nd October 2017. The event will again provide a unique program for the exchange of current scientific and clinical information for regional and global orthopaedic communities.

The annual RCOST meetings have received tremendous interest in terms of participation and quality of contributions among ASEAN and Asian orthopaedic surgeons. This also reflects the availability of increased information on the impact for current orthopaedic practice. The meeting in October 2017 will once again offer a wide range of topics with a particular specialty day to discuss in depth of current hot issues in orthopaedic subspecialties.

Therefore, it is without reservation that I welcome all local and regional orthopaedic surgeons and friends to come and join us for our Annual RCOST Meeting 2017. I promise that you will receive a fruitful information, wonderful experiences with Thai culture and hospitality during the event.

Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya

It is a great pleasure and an hour to extend to you a warm invitation to attend The annual meeting of Royal College for Thai Orthopaedic surgeon, to be held October 20-22, 2017 at Peach Convention Centre, Royal Cliff beach Resort and Hotel, Pattaya. The theme of the 2017 conference ‘Wisdom come with healthy aging’ will underpin how to be a healthy Orthopedic surgeon and also included the interesting topic in Orthopedic surgery.

Pattaya is an exceptional place for the Congress. It is renowned as one of the world’s most outstanding convention cities, with the beach activities. The social program highlighting our seafood cuisine, combined with the breathtaking natural beauty and tours will underscore Pattaya as one of the most popular tourist destinations.

We hope you will join us for a nice outstanding meeting and take a little extra time to enjoy the spectacular and unique beauty of this region.

The 39th  RCOST Annual Meeting

Dear all, in the name of the scientific committee, I would like to welcome all of you, spouses and families to join the 39th RCOST annual meeting during 20-22 October 2017.

It is appropriate that the motto for this meeting highlights “Wisdom comes with healthy aged” We expect a lot of participants from ASEAN countries to attend this meeting. This year, there are a lot of interesting topics and there are a lot of changes in resident paper contest pattern. There will be the audition round for all resident papers, only carefully selected seven papers will pass to the final round. The resident paper contest “Finale” will be held on Friday 20 on hall A2. Don’t miss this exciting event. The "3rd Thai ICL" continues its path aiming for general orthopedists as well as the fourth year residents. The ICL begins its first day on Friday 20 October. As our compliment, all participants will receive the hard copy of 3rd Thai ICL 2017 book for free of charge. The theme of this year meeting is "healthy orthopedists". Nevertheless, you will find a vast majority of state-of-the-art topics in all subspecialty that match against your interesting fields, especially on "specialty day" Sunday 22 October. On Saturday 21 October will be the keynote lectures, common interest topics from overseas guest speakers and expert members and free paper presentation. New for this year! The “first Thai OKU” is expected to be launched on this meeting.

The scientific committee members are working considerably to arrange the scientific programs that will satisfy all of you. All interesting scientific papers are welcome to submit. Again, I would like to welcome you to fully participate in these informative meeting. From this year and onward, you will get the CME credits from this congress meeting.

I am confident that your deliberations will contribute concrete strategies to our special event to showcase the richness and diversity of ASEAN Orthopedics which can only be gained from our collective efforts and close collaboration.

Warm regards
